Dec 28, 2012 · Evendim seems to be a good place to farm gold ore. When you go closer to the Giants on the hill there seems to be quite a bit. Lone Lands has some too but It's not as good as Evendim. N-E of Esteldin in the North-Downs has quite a few nodes too.

Jul 08, 2012 · I have a prospector still needing to collect gold ore, and I'll take the advice of areas which people have mentioned above. (Kingsfell, Oatbarton, Evendim e.t.c) But it seems like the only viable option to actually obtaining any gold ore, is to dig up every iron ore node you see, which in turn may spawn the gold ore nodes in their place afterwards.
